![]() M - Very lager-like, this crisp, refreshing ale has carbonation bite to the finish that dries the palate out nicely while allowing some hop bitterness to linger on the tongue. T - Surprisingly hoppier than expected, Drop Dead Blonde has a noteworthy noble hop floral character that encases simple, dry pale malt graininess and a kiss of honey for a rather tasty light beer. Laden with sulfur, the loose head vanishes far too quickly to grab much more without a hearty swirl, but some floral, noble-like hop notes evaporate into the air briefly, followed by traces of honey sweetness, grainy pale malt, and a touch of corn. ![]() S - A beauty to look at, but boy does this blonde smell. The effervescent head fades pretty quickly, and with it, the aroma. better luck next time guys, this one could use some work.12 oz twist-off bottle poured into a pilsner glass.ģ.5% ABV, "Refreshing ale with 110 calories."Ī - Hello gorgeous! Drop Dead Blonde pours a slender, crystal clear pale straw yellow body topped by loose white locks of foam sexy.for a moment. IT's one of my least favorite Point beers and I would say it's just slightly below average. All in all this beer wasn't that great and it left me wanting a little more from it. ![]() I wouldn't buy this beer again, it's pretty easy to find a better Blonde Ale and I would recommend it. What I liked the least about this beer was how bland it was, it needed just a little bit of hops to balance out the malts and yeast. What I like the most about this beer is the appearance and mouthfeel, they were both nice and the highlights of this beer. This beer had ok drinkability, one is enough for me, it goes down smooth, but the flavor doesn't hold my attention. Overall I thought this beer was just ok and I thought it was very average for the style, it didn't have anything that made it stick out and while it was still pretty true to style it seemed like almost every aspect was mediocre. The mouthfeel is nice and it works well with this beer. M- Smooth, pretty crisp, a little clean, on the thicker side of being light bodied with a higher amount of medium carbonation. This was an Ok tasting beer that was very average for the style. On the finish there's no hops or bitterness with a little bit of sweet malts taking it's place and it had a grainy and fruity yeast like aftertaste. Up next comes that fruity yeast with just a slight doughy aspect coming through. T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the malts being the first to show up this time and they impart the same aspects that they did in the aroma with no single malty aspect seeming to stick out the most. This beer has a decent aroma, but it's pretty close to being average for the style. Up next comes the malts which impart a grainy. S- The aroma starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the some fruity yeast being the first to show up and it imparts a little bit of an apple cider like aroma with a little bit of doughy aroma coming through in the background. This is a pretty nice looking beer, I have no complaints. It poured a slightly hazy pale yellow color that took on more of a golden hue when held to the light with a fingers worth of bubbly white head that died down to a thin ring that stayed till the end and it left a little bit of patchy lacing behind. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a imperial pint glass.Ī- The label is nice, it goes with the name and it's a little eye catching. I was looking for a few easy drinking beers and I thought I would take a chance on this one, so lets see how it goes. I picked up a bottle of Point's Drop Dead Blonde a couple weeks ago for $1.79 at Boyne Country Provisions.
